Painting and creating have been a passion of mine since I was very young. Colors and designs have always intrigued me and is the first catalyst to a new project. The decision for what medium to use dictated by the subject and surface.
Most of my subjects are natural and ordinary things, created in evoke some type of genuine emotion. The surfaces I use range from walls to furniture to wooden and metal items and paper to canvas and gesso board and everything in between.I work mainly in acrylics but have begun to use watercolors and oils. Acrylics were a good medium for my busy life-style and were what was taught by my earlier teachers.
I hadn't used watercolors and oils for many years and it is stimulating to be appreciating and getting to know them again.
Recently we moved from Massachusetts to the Northeast Kingdom to enjoy the beauty and serenity. Every day is inspirational.I have owned my own greenhouse business, worked as a florist, a chef, a real estate agent, and accounting analyst. All of these varied interests have added to the adventure and novel way I look at things. My three children, my husband, and our wonderful dogs and cats, have added the humor and the wrinkles.
