Phyllis M. Gable is a self-taught artist who began experimenting with
oils and acrylics in 1962 and for many years her paintings were sold at Hendersons Gallery in Philadelphia. Family and work responsibilities then took over until 1994 when she retired early to resume painting, this time with watercolors.
Born and raised in Orleans, Vermont, she decided to return to Vermont and now resides in Newport Center with her two other family members, "Enoki", a Japanese Chin and "Peaches", a miniature apricot poodle.
