Running a gallery is expensive. If an individual artist attempted to open a gallery to show his or her artwork, it would cost thousands of dollars each year for rent, gallery operations, utilities, promotion and more. Member artists effectively get the same results for a fraction of the cost being a part of the MAC with year-round visibility, and don't have the headaches of running their own business.
We offer several types of membership for artists, handcrafters, performers, musicians,
and writers, as well as arts groups. We also have sponsor and patron opportunities
for those who would like to support on ongoing efforts. Your membership “keeps the
lights on.”
As in any group, members have certain responsibilities that come with membership. We also offer several benefits for our member artists. Please see what we have to offer you and we look forward to your becoming a member of the MAC.
We are very proud of our members who show their support by volunteering their time to staff the Center six days a week. We couldn’t do it without them.
