The Arts give students an edge - Students who are regularly exposed to the arts are higher achievers. Expanded classes and workshops will address this.
Arts attract tourists - A primary reason for travel is to experience the cultural offerings of other areas. The Arts attract tourists and create needs for facilities such as restaurants, hotels, convenience stores, and more.
The Arts bring communities together - The arts revitalize communities and give people a shared cultural experience. Our exhibits and events will strengthen our community.
Industry wants the arts - Workers value “quality of life” above nearly all factors in choosing where to locate: 1. Lifestyle; 2. Environmental quality; 3. A vibrant music and arts scene; 4. Natural and outdoor amenities.
The Arts provide a higher rate of return on public investment - In addition to all the other benefits the arts offer, the arts deliver a higher rate of return on every dollar. It is estimated that every dollar spent on the arts generates 13 additional dollars in economic impact.
